As the psalmist writes in Psalm 119, "...say to the Lord, 'my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.'" Which means we are to trust in God in all things.
We are reminded in the hymn, "Here I Am" (Booth), "I am here in the midst of every trial. I am here when pardoning your brother. Here I am, I am here." God is telling us to trust in Him and do not doubt that He is present in our lives.
We are answering the call by our Lord by to participate more fully in the holy mass by lifting our voices in song. By doing so, we uplift our hearts and minds to the Lord. Let us offer our musical talents by actively participating in singing the hymns during this lenten season.
