In the third verse of Randall DeBruyn’s Easter Sequence hymn, “Christ is Arisen” the words are: Christians, sing his glory with every breath
As singers, how delightful to think every breath we take before we sing is for God’s glory. We are all called by our baptism to sing his glory with every breath. When we breath together as one, we unify our breath with the very breath of God
Sing of his kingdom, victorious o’er death!
This is where all our hope lies, in Christ’s victory over death.
Jesus grant us mercy; New life from heav’n!
We rely on the mercy of God. We rely on the grace we receive from the sacraments. We become new. We become more fit for heaven when we accept the grace we receive.
Christ ever reigns! Alleluia! Amen!
How hopeful to know that Christ’s reign is for eternity. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. We should never doubt!
This Lent of 40 Days has drawn to a close. We are uplifted by the Triduum celebration and bask in the glory of the Resurrection for 50 Days! In fact, every Sunday is a mini-Easter. In fact, every day is a mini-Easter, as every moment Eucharist is being celebrated somewhere. Happy Easter!
