Drawn to You The magnetic pull of Christ’s love draws us in like a magnet. When we process to receive the Lord in the Eucharist, we are drawn into the company of the Lord. There is where we hope to dwell for all eternity. We will experience the love in the company of all of the angels and saints for all time and all places. In the meantime, we make room for Christ to dwell in our hearts by receiving Him , who penetrates love. This love burst out of us and fills us with joy and gratitude. We offer back to God what he has offered to us. We radiate that love and carry that magnetic force to those who also partake in this banquet of love. For those not present or unable to be present at the banquet, we break through the barriers and allow Christ’s love to radiate from our hearts to theirs. The lyrics of Sara Hart’s “Drawn to You”, which we will sing at most Masses this weekend speaks of the love that unites us, in the refrain, “…..we are drawn to you.” This is what is means to be Church. Our hope is strong and that hope centers on the love of Christ. Let us take up our cross and follow Jesus!
