Te Deum Every day we thank Thee. And we praise Thy Name forever, yes, forever and ever.
It has been my morning practice to thank God as soon as I wake in the morning. When I remember to do this, I am more aware of the presence of God throughout the day. This weekend, on this Second Sunday of Lent, we have Mark’s account of the transfiguration. Peter says to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here”. Although we may not see the Lord in a cloud, we should take joy in the opportunities that we have to spend time with him in sacred silence.
This weekend, at communion time, we will sing “Sacred Silence” by Tom Booth and Jenny Pixler. Let these words radiate in our being as we sense the Lord present in our midst.
