This Saturday, our St. Mary’s Parish Youth Choir participated in the 68
th Annual Rocky Mountain Choristers Guild Festival in Greenwood Village, Colorado at the Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church. The students joined various Christian church children and youth choirs from Colorado in an hour long worship hour with a blend of scripture and song. The clinician was Blair Bryant, youth choir director at Cherry Creek.
Cathedral of St. Mary children and youth choirs have been participating in this festival for a number of years. Most recently, the festival was held in Cheyenne in 2018.
Later this week, photos will be added to our Facebook page.
On February 12
th and 13
th of 2021, a city-wide church and private school children and youth choir festival is being planned at the First United Methodist Church.
One of the songs both choir sang was “How Can I Keep from Singing”, an arrangement by Ginger Littleton.
Music is something that can be experienced throughout life. It is a worthwhile activity that stimulates the brain in a way that other activities cannot. Music carries us through this life into the next, where we can sing with all the choir of angels and saints in heaven. Isn’t that our ultimate hope? To live with God forever?
