This weekend we celebrate the solemn feast of the Body and Blood of Christ. In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus says, “This is my body.” “This is my blood”. In these words, Jesus accepts his mission of love that leads to offering his very life for us. In so doing, he established this Eucharistic sacrifice which is “the source and summit of Christian Iife.” This reality is made present each time Mass is celebrated. What a gift!
Here is the music to be presented at most Masses this weekend. In particular, pay close attention to the words of St. Thomas Aquinas in the hymn, “Panis Angelicus”.
