Psalm 119:135 “Let your face shine upon your servant; and teach me you laws.”
What are God’s laws? How do we know we are observing them correctly? One thing is for certain, if there is hatred in our hearts, it is not observing God’s law. God’s law is a law of love. How often do we acknowledge the presence of God shining upon us, guiding our way? How often do we fail to acknowledge the presence of Christ in others? Do we gossip about others, or complain a lot about the world situation? What are we doing to solve the problem? The song “Lord of all Hopefulness” is sung at our parish on Labor Day weekend, as we ask God to be with us as we labor through life at various moments and stages of the hours of our day, which we really give back to God. Maybe if we acknowledged God more throughout the day, we would be more equipped in caring for the kingdom of God here on earth.
