In Psalm 4, the psalmist proclaims, “The Lord does wonders for his faithful one.” I have witnessed many wonders in my life of faith. I often experience the many wonders of God in creation. In my youth, I remember walking along the prairie road at the ranch of my great aunt and uncle and witnessed the most beautiful sunsets. Also experiencing the cool mountain air in Estes Park and the smell of the aspen trees. Another memory was standing on the beach in Hawaii, and wading in the water, on a cruise ship and hearing the waves of the ocean and soaking in the sunlight! I see God’s wonders in the eyes of children, in the memories of hearing the voices of my family members and friends who have come and gone. I experience God’s wonder in singing beautiful music with a choir and in front of an appreciative audience. I see God’s wonder in living in the present moment. All of these experiences remind me of God’s constant presence that never ends as I journey through life and beyond. In these experiences, I reflect on what it means to be an Easter people. Where have you experienced the wonders of God’s creation? Here is the music for this weekend, the 3rd Sunday of Easter. The hymns “In the Breaking of the Bread” and “Christ be Beside Me” are great reflections on the wonders of God. https://bit.ly/3uJtWmJ April 17 and 18 Hymns
