Mic 5:4 “He shall be peace”. When the Word was made flesh, and made his dwelling among us, He did not come to BRING peace, rather, as the prophet Micah describes, he will BE peace. What does it mean to be peace? Perhaps to be peace means to be present. Maybe peace means to bring reassurance, hope, comfort and joy to others. It is interesting that the human condition fights against this peace. Isn’t it true that our lives are filled with the opposite of this: negativity, despair, uneasiness and sadness? As we prepare for the coming of the Lord this Christmas, let us find him in our hearts. That is the greatest gift we can share with others. Happy final days of Advent and a Merry Christmas to all!
Here is the music for the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Listen especially to “Maranatha” by Ciusano. Maranatha, we long for your peace. https://bit.ly/3yoouJ3 Hymns https://bit.ly/3pSDFqf Mass of Christ the Savior parts
