Lord of All Calm What does one have to do to experience calm? One good way is to turn off all electronic devices and go for a brisk walk. A trip to the mountains is great, but even a walk around an area park will do. It requires more listening than talking. It requires taking in air and releasing air, something musicians know about.
In today’s first reading, from Sirach 27:4-7 there is some words of wisdom about calmness when one speaks, “one’s speech disclose the bent of one’s mind”. In an age when many words are spoken, this is certainly worth contemplating.
