Lord of all Gentleness In Luke’s gospel Chapter 6:27-38 , Jesus teaches us a lesson in how to be gentle. It is our gut instinct when be attacked to respond with aggression rather than gentleness. Nothing is accomplished when both parties are combative. Since the beginning of the world, starting with Cain slewing Abel, there has been this type of aggression displayed. The medicine that keeps us from this aggression and retaliation is the Eucharist. We can think of how Jesus met his adversaries on the road to Calvary. Just uttering Jesus’ name, will aide us in these times of conflict.
