This weekend, Jesus invites us to take up our cross and follow him. Here is the music to be presented this weekend.

Chanting music is less dangerous during this Covid time and chanting the Mass adds to the dignity of the Rite. https://bit.ly/2YvMAkg Chant parts Here is the text to the Gloria to be recited and led by the cantor this weekend. We are reciting to minimize the singing https://www.usccb.org/committees/divine-worship/policies/mass-settings-texts#tab--glory-to-god-in-the-highest We invite you to sing on the refrains of the hymns and Mass parts with face coverings when celebrating Mass in the Cathedral. If you cannot be with us during this time, listen to and sing these hymns in your homes and be united with us in Spirit. We miss you!
Mary Jo Morandin, former choir director at the Cathedral, passed away on August 15, the feast of the Assumption. May she rest in peace. Mary Jo contributed so much of her time to the choir including a trip to Rome to sing for the pope in 1997. This week, we feature cantor Matt Trefren. Matt has been cantoring in the cathedral for over 30 years. Here he is singing the third verse of “Here I am, Lord” by Dan Schutte. https://dioceseofcheyenne.sharefile.com/d-s73429d1e7ef48858
