5th Station Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus to carry his cross The refrain of the hymn, “Many and One” by Steve Angrisano, Sarah Hart and Dwight Liles, help us to meditate on the 5th Station of the Cross. Let us reflect on the words, “And together, we are all his hands and his feet…”. Our assistance in building up the kingdom is crucial. We love God best, by serving and caring for each other. -Patrick Stolz, music director
6th Station Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus In the sixth station, we remember how a woman stepped out from the crowd to wipe the face of Jesus. Veronica’s act of kindness was a simple gesture. Perhaps it was all she knew to do in the moment. The song “Whatsoever you do” reminds us that it isn’t necessarily about doing big things for the needy; “whatsoever” can mean simple gestures, too. May we, like Veronica, see opportunities, even small ones, to minister to Christ as we encounter Him in our needy brothers and sisters. -Dr. Joel Bacon, organist and professor or organ at Colorado State University
