On this last Sunday of the liturgical year, we celebrate “Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe”. What a great way to end each liturgical year! Again this week, the Gospel’s remind us to attend to the needs of the least among us, in imitating Christ, our King. A reminder when attending Mass to please join in singing on the refrain of the hymns and Mass parts with face coverings. If you are homebound during this time, I share with you the hymns and Mass parts to be sung in our Cathedral this weekend.
November 22 is the Feast of St. Cecilia. This year, this feast is trumped by this Sunday solemn feast. St. Cecilia is the patron saint of musicians. The Mass is a sung rite, so in a sense this feast day if for all of us. I share with you the prayer of St. Cecilia.
