The Canaanite women in Mattew 15 has a sense of her dependency on God and was persistence in her prayer. Once we recognize that dependency, we begin to yearn for God, and especially in Word and in the Eucharist. In the recognition that God makes his dwelling in our hearts, we draw ever closer to the Presence dwelling within us. As we listen to the Word, we carry the Good News in our person and the words we proclaim or chant, are done for the praise and glory of the God who we yearn. “O God, let all the nations, praise your name” Psalm 67
