You believe in me Thomas, because you have seen me says the Lord, blessed are those who have not seen me, but still believe. John 20:29 “I have to see it to believe it!” Are you one of those people that take these words to heart? If this is true, how can you believe in God, in the first place? Our God is truly the God of mystery. Our God loves so mysteriously, it is beyond comprehension. I was fairly young when I encountered the God of mystery. When I would pray at night by my bedside, I would often feel God’s presence there. It was an awesome experience. Not only would I encounter God’s presence, but I would carry on conversations with God and with relatives who passed away. As an adult, it is more difficult to allow myself to enter into this mystery. Usually, I have to seek a quiet place, which can include driving in the car. Where is the God of mystery for you? This week and next week at Mass, we will sing “Al Partir al Pan” (In the Breaking of the Bread) arranged by Mariano Fuertes. This very simple song reminds us where we come to know the Lord best, in the breaking of the bread. This is where we find his true presence. Here is the music for this Sunday. Happy Easter! https://bit.ly/3Kx0d99 Hymns for April 23 and 24
