The third verse of “The Day of Resurrection” sung this weekend at most Masses states:
His love is everlasting, His mercies never cease We rely on the mercy of God, for hope of eternal life. We know that the love of God will not cease. God will never give up on us, no matter how far from his love we have strayed.
The resurrected Savior, will all our joys increase Our joys during this Easter octave cannot be contained. We express our joy with every Alleluia we sing! Are you filled with Easter joy! Let us express that joy with all we encounter. Pope Francis did this so well as he ministered to his flock. May he rest in peace and joy in the Risen Lord!
He’ll keep us in his favor, Supplying holy grace, To all his pilgrim people Who seek his heav’nly place. The newly baptized and new members of our church have responded to the call to accepting God’s grace. We, the Body of Christ, also have responded to the call by our participation in the sacramental life of the church. In this year of hope, we are supplied with God’s holy grace. Let us keep the Lord’s day holy, accepting that grace with thankful hearts.
