It doesn’t happen very often that All Saint’s Day falls on a Sunday. This year, it also falls on the day we set back our clocks! In heaven, there are no clocks. God does not live in time or space. God lives in an ever present now. So do the angels and saints. We get a glimpse of heaven when we celebrate liturgy. When we live the Beatitudes and know of others who live the beatitudes, we experience God’s ever presence. At Mass, all the angels and saints in heaven are present when the bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ. It is an awesome mystery of our faith. As we sing “Saints of God” by Bob Hurd, let us yearn to be counted among the saints of every time and place.
