This Third Sunday of Lent, it is worth meditating on Psalm 19. God’s law are to be lived by all of us. How much do I value God’s laws? Are they really more precious than gold and sweeter than syrup? As a church lay leader, I do not value gold, but I can relate to syrup being poured on my waffles or pancakes! If I really value the ordinances of the Lord and believe them to be true, they should dominate my decision making. For the most part, if you are like me, I, as a practicing Catholic, do my best to observe them, but find my self short. I suppose that is why I need this season of Lent each year. Renewing my baptismal promises daily, will help me for the celebration of Easter joy! Here is some instruction on our offertory chant, “The ordinances of the Lord are right, bringing joy to all hearts, sweeter than honey or the honeycomb. Therefore your servant will observe them.” Microsoft Edge - simple-english-propers-organ-accompaniment-I.pdf - Work - Microsoft Edge (loom.com) Here is the music that will be sung at most Masses. If you are homebound, please know that you are missed and we long for your return to Mass. In the meantime, please feel free to listen to, sing and meditate on these hymns during this Lenten season. May they bring joy to you and those around you. https://bit.ly/3qE6jdL March 6 and 7 Hymns
