Psalm 8 is used on the Most Holy Trinity Solemnity this weekend. Our triune God has been present from the very beginning of creation. We bask in the glory of all creation. We can gaze to the heavens and recognize the vastness of that creation. We can encounter the Trinity in our relationships with other human beings made in the image and likeness of God. We can snorkel to the bottoms of the ocean to encounter the fishes of the sea, we can spend sometime in the great outdoors to experience the wildlife, maybe hunt for deer or pheasants or whatever we please. We make some of these creatures our pets. All of these help us understand better our triune God. Our God creates, redeems and sanctifies. Our God is our hope! Praise the Holy Trinity!
