The words  to the refrain of “Purify My Heart” by Brian Doerksen state, “Refiner’s fire my heart’s desire is to be holy, set apart for you, Lord.  I choose to be holy, set apart for you my master, ready to do your will.”

In God is our hope, that He will make us pure vessels of his love.  If we desire that love, we will be more ready to do His will.  In the Old Testament reading from Exodus Chapter 3, Moses is confronted with the Lord from the burning bush.  He did indeed desire to do the will of the Lord by agreeing to do the will of God by telling the Israelites that God is with them.
