The tune “Songs of Thankfulness and Praise” verse 2, reminds us of the threefold celebration of the Epiphany. It will be sung as we are sent forth this weekend. The Evening Prayer II Gospel Canticle Antiphon says: “Three mysteries mark this holy day: today the star leads the Magi to the infant Christ; today water is changed into wine for the wedding feast; today Christ wills to be baptized by John in the river Jordan to bring us salvation. “ The Baroque nature of the music fits our organ well as the music was adapted by J.S. Bach (1685-1750)
Have a blessed New Year! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
