The Church is the Body of Christ.  If this statement is true, then the most essential participants in every Eucharistic liturgy are members of the assembly. 

With that being said, we as musicians need to be reminded that on weekends when we are not leading the congregation, we are still valuable members.
Dear fellow music ministers, It is not your “off week” when you are not scheduled to lead the music.  Your involvement on those “off” weeks is crucial and necessary. For we are one Body of Christ.

If you are not a member of our music ministry team, you are not excluded from participating.  It is your participation that is most valued. Don’t worry if you think your voice is not adequate.  God gave you your voice; SING ANYWAY!!
As your music director, I thank you for the energy and life you all bring to our liturgical celebrations at the Cathedral of St. Mary.  Let us continue to strive to be united in our efforts to push forward to  an even greater level of active participation in the life of our Church.
