The music “By Our Love” by Tom Kendzia will be sung as the gifts are prepared and presented at most Masses this weekend. The refrain states, “By our Love, they will know we are Christians by our love. Not by words, but how we live, yes, they’ll know we are Christians by our love.” I think it is sometimes easy for us all to go around with blinders on to the world around us. There is so many things that distracts us from the important work that needs to be done. The extension of liturgy is Charity, Justice and Evangelization. Are we meeting these challenges? We do not have to look too far to find the work that needs to be done. Now is the time to attend to each other. “He raises up the lowly from the dust; from the dunghill he lift up the poor to seat them with princes, with the princes of his own people.” Psalm 113:7-8 Let us learn from the poor in spirit how to serve our God in simple and charitable ways. Here is the music for the weekend:
We hope to see many of you at fellowship after Sunday Masses to learn about how you can be a part of our music ministry team. If you have musical talents to share with our community, we would love to have you. The church is the Body of Christ, and as members of that body, it is your baptismal rite to sing actively! Remember, singing is praying twice! When we lift up our voices together, the world can be transformed and uplifted!
